Choose the right card for your Nintendo Switch
The only SD cards that can be used with Nintendo Switch 2 are “microSD Express cards”. When purchasing a memory card, please check that it has both the “microSD” and “EX” marks to ensure it is a microSD Express card.
1. Nintendo Switch 2 supports microSD Express cards up to 2TB.
2. Data saved on a microSD memory card cannot be read/written on Nintendo Switch 2 if it’s not a microSD Express card.
3. microSD Express cards can also be used in Nintendo Switch, but performance will be according to Nintendo Switch’s specifications.
